How to Start Out with a CV ?

That was definitely me the first time as I was writing my CV and after a while ,
I got myself to this,

God Bless :) *phew*

Anyways, hey ! Just to be clear, I am still a first year LLB Law Undergraduate Student, but since everyone including myself have been having problems even starting off a CV, here are some basics in constructing a CV that I reckon would hopefully get you to start filling that empty Microsoft Word screen of yours :) Nevertheless, I am applying for jobs myself as well #prayforeniza. Heheheh. So, lets keep it simple shall we ?

1) There are mainly 2 types of CV
     i)   Chronological CV - starting off with your most recent years activities
ii)  Skills CV - specifying usually 3-5 main skills you have
- You should survey them both, and decide which one is the best for you. Reading other people's CV can roughly give you an idea on how a CV would go about like .

2) Have a Linked-In Profile
- Don't forget to attach your URL to your CV after you're done completing this !

3) Print back-to-back (Use only 1 paper)
- It is often that those papers of your CV stapled together gets dis-attached accidentally and firms would not even realise it. Next thing you know, one most important paper goes missing and you lost an opportunity just like that

4) Out of ideas ? Look at your Facebook timeline
- Being active on social media does not all go to a waste. If you ever run out of ideas on what to write, just check out your previous activities and update them all in your CV

5) Basic Structure
i) Personal Profile (2-3 sentences to sell yourself!)
ii) Education
ii) Work Experience
iii) Volunteering
iv) IT Skills
v) Interests

6) Adapt your CV
- Alter and change your CV according to the companies you are applying to. That is definitely essential!

7) Make a Cover Letter
- Why are you applying to the firm ?
- Sell yourself !
- Don't exaggerate too much or write too long

8) Take your time
-  It is one of the most important documents of your life. Take your time. Never rush in writing your CV

9) Start Early
- Jobs are not as easy to get and good jobs usually have datelines, so start early, start now !

10) Check out your Employability Centers and Placement Manager
- All those little details to be checked and last touch of perfection can usually be done here after you have started off with your CV or even when you're done with it.

Ps : I hope this helps as I have been attending some CV Workshops and CV Clinics held by my university. But then again, this is merely just to get you started off with your CV.All the best !

10 Steps of Moving On :)

Hey girls (or possibly even guys) ! I know tumblr quotes might be cheesy , but they're quite handy if you could relate to them anyways so be aware that this post might contain many.

Anyways, as we all know, moving on is the most difficult part of relationships or life as we know it. So here's a post on how I handle 'moving on' and so far has always been a success :

1) Let it out
Just cry it out ! Or shout ! Possibly even talk to someone about it. Make yourself feel better instead of keeping all your emotions in. But, never beat yourself up. Just bear in mind that the tears, the pain, is all temporary. Everybody moves on even though at that particular moment you feel like 'Its end of the world'

2) Think with your brains, not your emotions
Know that relationships in reality are trial and errors. You fall in love, and you try to work it out between the two of you, and if it doesn't work out, its simply just not meant to be. There is literally no point of beating yourself up and making yourself miserable over something that was not even destined to happen in the long run or part of your future.

'This is all part of life'

3) Keep yourself occupied
Mentally or physically. Pronto !

4) Make yourself a better person, in order to find/deserve the better person

We would always feel as if we can't find someone better than the last person we were with. Then, do something about it ! Rather than just merely accepting that fact. Make yourself a better person, in order for you to find someone better. Someone who can make you as happy or happier :)

5) Focus on building your own character
One thing we all know is that being with someone for too long sometimes makes us lose our own character, our own personality. Because we spend too much time with that particular person. So, since you're finally available, you would have so much time to figure your own identity and build your own character !

6) Prevent yourself from being alone for too many times
Being alone too often makes one over thinks unnecessarily. But I don't literally mean occupy yourself with booze, parties and friends all the time since you've broken up (Well, you could do that if that works out for you. Hahaha). What I guess you should do as well is, consider doing good to others ! Doing good to others can surprisingly make you feel better. If not, be part of a student body or society. Think and do something progressive ! Possibly even something to do with starting up a business maybe ? Haha

7) Never give up on yourself
' She is unstoppable not because she is successful. But because she never stops picking herself up no matter how many times she's fallen'
If you ever feel down again, and again, depressed or possibly upset, stop beating yourself up, and pick the pieces of yourself up again and again. Never give up. Remember, everybody goes through this. And you definitely can make it !

8) Know it yourself, you are going to be a stronger person !
Give a tap on your own shoulder for making it through so far. Moving on is difficult but you'll get through it. Everyone does. And you'll definitely be a stronger person from then on :)

9) Life is too short to be pondering about the past

You are not who you were yesterday. People change everyday, whether its a little or a lot. So whenever you think about the past, think back again about who you are today. You're definitely not the same person as who you were when you were with that particular someone. You're definitely a better and stronger person, so pondering and complaining about the past is just a waste of time !  Life is too short, look how many years have passed already in so little time. Go out ! Go for a jog ! Make yourself productive !

10) Take the good, leave the bad (Acceptance)
In everything there is good and bad. Just take the good, and leave the bad. Learn from your previous relationship and make your next one, a better one, and possibly everlasting. That person came into your life for multiple reasons, just accept the many reasons (good and bad), and think how it is going to be beneficial for your future !

In the end of the day, we are destined to be with that particular someone and there's just so many fishes in the sea, that probably we haven't met the right one, just yet :)

Freedom of Speech

'Yes, We do have a right to freedom of speech, but it comes with limitations'

Charlie Hebdo's defence in their rights to freedom of speech is that they are against extremism as a whole, not just religion nor even just politicians. You cannot expect these writers to understand us who praise our God and love our religion as I assume most of them do not have the same believe in religion as we do, respectively. I am not to give my opinon on journalists being jailed for the articles they write regarding their country. And I am not to write on how freedom of speech should be practiced in a democratic country, but these writers and activists for Freedom of Speech should know what they stand up for when they stand up for rights of Freedom of Speech.

I do question at times, if we do have the rights to absolute Freedom of Speech, wouldn't it be great for magazines to publish articles and covers on criticizing or making fun of those Mothers or Parents who are 'extremely' protective of their children ?

(Note to not take this literally but is more of a sarcasm statement. We can't make those who do not believe in their religion to understand us with our religion, but the closest to letting them be in our shoes, is that if the world were to criticize the ones that are 'close to their hearts'.It is of the same concept but different facts)

Nevertheless, the statutory interpretation of the term 'Freedom of Speech' itself should be out in the media now to really acknowledge the public on the real definition of it and its limits. Even if it does not have any limits, the world needs to know.

Budapest : Day 4

Sadly, it was our last day from this historical city and so we decided to visit the last few tourist areas before we leave for our flight at night. Grabbed some souvenirs from the Central Market and we headed to discover the Buda side of Budapest !

We went for the famous Fisherman's Bastion which was near the Castle District, or you can say it is part of the District. Note that this beautiful architecture was not part of a Hungarian history, but was built for tourist around 2000s if I'm not mistaken. Beyond that, it was spectacular. You could see the view of almost the whole of Budapest from here !

We then checked out the Buda Castle which was about 15 minutes of walk, didn't feel that long though honestly but I think because we were in a big group, it took us a while yet we were distracting each other from the long walk. Haha. Anyways, just an introduction, the Buda Castle was a fortress but is currently hosting museums. It was definitely a short visit at Buda Castle for us, unless if you wanna check out the museums.

Took a bus to Citadella ; the highest point in Budapest which was not that far from the Buda Castle. I would reckon about 20 minutes away by public transport. It would have been great for you to check out the place before and after sunset but we didn't manage to catch the daylight view as we did some food hunting before. Oh yes ! Before I forget, the hike up to the top would take about 30 minutes so yes, try not to carry much stuff up there.

The view was definitely worth the hike, priceless !

And so that was it ! The end of my winter break and a great start of 2015 ! Budapest is definitely one the places I would love to visit again as I really love the history this beautiful city holds. Overall, including accommodation, transportation and flight tickets, it was about 300 Pounds for the whole trip which and every quid was worth it :)

Budapest : Day 3

Throughout Day 3, we just travelled around by Metro around District VI to check out the main tourist spots ; The Szechenyi Medicinal Bath, Heroes Square & House of Terror ! To conclude, we discovered the 'Pest' side of Budapest !

The Szechenyi Medicinal Bath is literally just 2 minutes walk from the Metro stop @ Szechenyi Furdo. It would cost a little to go into the biggest European Hot Baths which is about 74-77Degrees. We decided it would take some time for us to enjoy this heated pool so we just came to check the place out and decided to go to Heroes' Square (Hosok Tere) after.

You could take the metro to Hosok Tere, but it is honestly just roughly 5-10 minutes of walk from the Szechenyi Metro stop so we decided to just walk since the weather was quite lovely today anyways.

Hosok Tere is a place of the Magyar history I would say, and it would definitely be more interesting if you find out the history of the Magyars invasion in Hungary before coming here. Or maybe its just cause I am a little bit of a history geek. Anyways, it was so beautiful and it reminded me of the Greek history a little. Spent about an hour here just chilling and taking pictures, haha. Grabbed a quick italian lunch nearby and headed for one of the personally best and most intellectual part of the trip,

House of Terror ! Also known as Terror Haza. It's a museum that was filled with the history of the 2 most important occupation in Hungarian history ; the Nazi (or Arrowcross) and the Soviets. Despite if you love history or not, it is definitely one of the most recommended places to visit in Budapest. Well, basically WW1 initiated within Austria-Hungary, and Hungary is to be considered the Heart of Europe hence it is basically part of almost all important wars in history. It would also help if you know a little about the history of the occupation, so the exhibition would make more sense to you :)
No pictures here as no cameras were allowed. But just go on the metro and stop at Vorosmarty Utca and walk a couple of minutes, then you're there ! Oh, and it was for 2000 Forint for entrance fee. Do check their opening hours so you wouldn't have to rush.

It was about 6PM when we ended our exhibition, so we grabbed our dinner and we decided to stop by the famous Hungarian Parliament. We were quite lucky in time as when we arrived, it was during the replacement of the Hungarian flag, so we had the opportunity to see the guards march their way around the Parliament. As it was utterly cold with empty stomachs, we didn't stay there for long ....

So we walked around to find for food, and I tried out one of the famous Hungarian food, Paprika ! Well, there weren't many kosher food so I tried Fish Paprika which was pretty delicious ! Either it was delicious or I was just really hungry....

Anyways, budget for Day 3 was roughly 35Pounds incase you were wondering :)

Budapest : Day 2

CAVING ! Yes, its been awhile since the last time I went for caving and caving here at Budapest is definitely one of the best ways to kick start 2015 !

We took a day pass on all public transports which costs us about 1650 Forint , which throughout the whole trip, we only got checked for our tickets just once. Haha, oh wells, it wasn't that expensive anyways ! So we booked for the Adventure Caving activity at Palvolgyi Caves a day before, and it took us about an hour to arrive to the caves from our accomodation. It was definitely worth it , only 6000 Forint and we were caving in the longest cave in Hungary ! The temperature was at roughly 11Degrees constant, so you don't really need to wear thick clothes, especially the fact that they provide you with overalls. Just make sure you're not wearing fancy shoes. We got ourselves a really friendly guide throughout which made the caving a whole lot more fun !

Caving ended around 3-4PM, with grumpy tummies, we hunted for food which we ended up eating at this Japanese restaurant called Wasabi, just a couple of bus stops away. We headed to a nearby bakery as recommended but I would say I have tasted better cakes around, hence why I couldn't even recall the name of the bakery. Haha. Really have to apologize for that.

Anyways, we got tired from all the 3 hours of caving, and headed back to rest for the next day. Well, that was suppose to be the case, but we ended waking up at midnight for Saffy's birthday and stayed up till almost 3-4 AM celebrating. Overall for Day 2, I reckon I spent only about 25Pounds overall , incase you were wondering what the budget should be like :)

Budapest : Day 1

Hey ! So, its been awhile since I have blogged but its mainly because I have been catching up with life itself , heh heh . Anyways, its time for Travel Blogging ! Winter Trip Year 1 :)

So, 12 of us took the morning flight from London Stansted Airport to Budapest with Ryan Air for only 90Pounds return flight which I personally thought was quite reasonable. After being 2 hours in the flight, we arrived around noon and checked in our accomodation, K9 Residence. It was quite impressive cause it was more of an apartment and cost each one of us about 25Pounds for our whole stay for 3 nights. Got ourselves some kosher food nearby and checked out the Central Market ; one of the tourist places to go to grab souvenirs !

Anyways, it started to get dark so we just walked to the nearest bridge, the Liberty Bridge (which connects the two between Buda and Pest). It was utterly cold, at about -5degrees, but the view was beautiful !

Near the bridge are streets that you can just randomly walk around and discover the culture. Hungarian food shops were everywhere and price is definitely cheaper than expected. Thus, expenses for food should never be one of the main concerns here at Budapest , God Bless ! We tried out their famous Goulash and Hungarian Noodles (which is actually dumplings). I personally got tired of the taste a bit cause the taste got a bit too 'pale' later on. I would say it is of a distinctive taste. I would say a meal was of an average 8Pounds for me, just today
