On Baked Goods ,

Guess who's gonna be baking for this Ramadhan and Raya ? Wohooooo !

Will be baking my chocolate chip Hershey's cookies and Nutella kiss cakes !  (which takes a lot of patience in doing so might hire a helper. Hahaha)

Yes, that's me baking when I'm lazy but I really wanted fresh oven baked cookies. And will make sure a better presentation for raya and Ramadhan cookies !

Thinking of what to bake for Raya dessert table this year cause it definitely has to be better than last year's. A chocolate cake and brownies is a must !

My gosh, really pumped up for baking marathon after this studies marathon is over !

And pavlova is a must too !

Now, I need ideas for a baker's brand name. Hmmm.

Keeping it 90s with the Tech-kids,

Spent the whole evening with my niece and nephew ,
My phone decided to break down (no games for them to play on my phone) so I decided to educate them on how we enjoyed our childhood back in the 90s,

And the first idea was Twister ! Would've uploaded a picture of how twisted our positions were but I wasn't wearing hijab at home so yeah.

Taught them to play bluff/cheat too !

*dear future eniza , please play this game with your kids so you'll know how they'll actually pull off a lie*

And I really did get to know my niece and nephew better. They were super adorable ! One lies by expanding her nostrils, one more was by the sudden stop of giggles,

and yeah, that's him alright. Tried to teach them 'Speed' too but we were out of time so it looks like it's gotta be next time !

Oh yeah ! I forgot. We allowed young participants to join our fun too ! They were technically focusing more on distracting us than joining our game (like hugging or clinging to us) , but was definitely adorable :)

Keeping it real as a 90s generation kid , missing the good old childhood times. And hoping for more nights like this.

Ps: Maybe I'll introduce them to Batu seremban one day #culture

On Social Network Arguments,

Take a deep breath as you read and try to keep an open mind ,

Due to excess use of social media/network and 'freedom of speech', I have somehow rather encountered many arguments and debates with people I never thought would have happened. And I am never a fan of arguments (I'm okay with no-emotions debate) so I'll just try to put aside all emotions possible.

And I'm pretty sure most of you have encountered such social media arguments as well.

So here's the thing I really don't understand, why are there so much haters out there ? And if they're dissatisfied , do they really have to express how they feel ? Like seriously, if you're not satisfied, then just remove all social network contacts with that person. Stop putting yourself through so much hatred and making your life a misery.  But janganla immature sampai jumpa pun tak nak Tegur and play 'hide and seek' ... -.-'

Fighting through social media is seriously not worth it. With all the assumptions and anger due to some pictures or words that honestly most of the time has nothing much to do with you.

If you do wanna voice out your opinion , just don't expect everyone to agree with you. Different people have different perspectives. And always keep your options open to listen to others too cause they might have better opinions than you do :)

I've always believed that
'Emotions clouds your judgements'

Just keep it cool , don't get all emotional easily cause ,

And for the Muslims, there are limits to freedom of speech :) so there you go.

On My Guardians,

Well, I guess you can say this is more of an appreciation post,

My parents have been the uttermost supportive cool parents I've ever known (eventhough I don't tell them that they are. Haha) . They might not be the kind of parents who let you go out late at night nor would they let you waste your time at all.

But one thing for sure, they do know what you need and what you don't need. And the best way of support you'll ever need.

That's my dad (mum took the picture) accompanying me during my night performing on the drums at Laundry Bar 2009.

They'll give all their attention whenever possible. Mum would pick me up from school and send me to tuitions. And the talks we have in the car while getting from one place to another is priceless.

And my dad on the other hand gives you ideas on what to do to shape your character and personality (like even travelling alone at 12 yold) .

They will even go the distance. No kidding. They went all the way to Johor and stayed there whenever I had SPM papers. They even came when I had a press conference for one of the leadership councils I was a part off.

And I am forever blessed with their love, hoping one day I'll be able to make them feel as happy as they've made me felt for almost 20 years :)

You'd think they'd stop in college ? Heck no. That was a picture of us on my first paper for A-Levels and they still try to send me every day possible. And the involvement continues :)

Anyhow , it's never too late you know. If it doesn't happen to you , it can always happen to your kids one day or something. Cause honestly, it meant so much to me on how much they've been there for me. Loves.

On Running,

Nobody was a born athlete (as far as I know off). No one was literally delivered and was able to run a thousand miles straight away. So there's no reason why you should feel you can't run the distance.

Because to me, it's not the distance. It's the motivation (and a little bit training if you plan to go a bit further). It's a mind challenge to run the distance. But then again , I'm not the best long distance runner and I've never ran for a full marathon yet. I guess what I say can only get you started at least :)

I saw old men ( I think grandpas too) running faster and longer than me around the area I run. Come on guys, we're not grandparents yet !

So run now while you still can and embrace the youth. You might not know one day, you might not be able to run anymore. And idk, I just love the idea of being fit ❤️

Maybe running could be the reason why you'll be happy for the day feeling motivated and all. But if you don't enjoy running and you've given it a try, that's okay. Different people have different interests anyways.

I guess , the real question would be, what's stopping you from running and going the distance ?

Ps, I use the app Nike Run + so they'll calculate the distance you've ran which is pretty cool :)

Why I started blogging ? (Again)

Here's short post on why I started blogging again :

1. I like writing (used to write stories when I was small)
2. I used to blog (when I was 12 and 15 ; might re-upload old embarrassing posts)
3. Insyallah will be flying to UK in September (so I wanna write down every moment possible)
4. I talk a lot. So blogging is another way to rant for me.
5. I can't wait to read back my old posts when I'm old with white hair and feel like how I felt when I was reading my old 12yold posts 😂

Anyhow, I blog what I feel like blogging so everything might not amuse you but it amuses me :) and I occasionally overthink and question a lot of things so ,

Simple question is to the answer of the question (woah try to understand that) , is why not blog ? :)

Nutella Kiss Cakes

Remember the Nutella Kiss Cakes guys ?
Because some of my friends asked for the recipe and for me to bake again (which I didn't manage to) , Here's the recipe !

- 125 grams room temperature butter
- 1 cup castor sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup cornflour
- Icing sugar (to be dusted on top of the kiss cakes)
8-10 minutes in the oven at 160degrees !
*sift the flour in*
And we didn't do it on flat trays but in trays like the ones you bake muffins in.

Pretty easy to make :) and in between both you can replace it with strawberry jam or anything that suits your flavour !

Have fun guys ! And enjoy this lovely (tastes like nestum a little) dessert :)

Why I Wear It ?

It started off during last year's Ramadhan. I actually had a dream a man was following me wherever I go and giving me a scarf , telling me I forgot that I left it behind. And when I asked my friends in the dream who the man was , they somehow said it was a man from heaven.

But it was beyond that actually. I have been longing to wear it that I thought about it everyday. Like to an extent where it was bugging me. It was even once when I was dating a Chinese and he said to me to not wear tight clothes as men will be staring at me like animals.

Anyhow, I went for talks and the most effective speech was quoted by Mufti Menk when he said ,

' Your Iman is like a diamond in the house. There will be lots of robbers trying to steal it. And in this case the robbers would be the Syaitan'

Ever since then, I thought, I might as well grab the feeling of 'jihad' now, rather than having the possibilty of losing the feeling one day.

No denial that once in a while I do have the urge to open it but hey , we have urge to do other things too once in a while, doesn't mean we have to do it :) and to acknowledge it as a piece of clothing that I must wear, leaves it as not an option but to be practiced as a good habit.

X Men : Days of Future Past

Don't expect much spoilers from me but the movie was awesome !
Although it wasn't my favourite but it was pretty good :) just that I wished they played with other characters more too. But come on , there's Jennifer Lawrence in most of the movie scenes !
On the other hand, only the early part of the movie had humour so definitely wish they had more of that.

Watched it with the parents at Subang Parade , apparently back in the old days my dad was a huge marvel comic fan too ! Haha. Anyhow, it was definitely a good break from A-Levels but now it's back to reality. Oh yeah ! Personal rating on the movie would be err, 8.5/10 I guess :) maybe I was expecting too much out of it. Hehehe. Best is not to expect too much whenever you watch a movie ! Oh , and it's recommended to watch X Men : First Class atleast once before you watch this one.

On Living the Moment,

Woke up today with a literal knock in the head with the huge question :
WHAT DO I WANT IN LIFE AND WHAT AM I DOING TO GET IT ?

So I wrote a list in my phone (yes, its a secret for now. hehehe) on what I wanna do in life and what are the things I'm supposed to do in order to get it . Just a hint, getting loads of money is definitely one of it ! Haha!

We live everyday that we start taking our minutes, days, hours and moments for granted. So, I guess its best to wake up everyday and question yourself,

WHAT DO I WANT IN LIFE AND WHAT AM I GOING TO DO TO MAKE IT HAPPEN ?

Nevertheless, I guess we all have to really really stop procrastinating and living every moment ! Life is short why waste everyday living unconscious on our own doings ?

Lets make our days worth it, our moments.

Maybe even waking up to Happy - Pharell Williams and live the moment for even 3 minutes ++ ( I think thats how long the song is) and you'd be surprised on how happy you can actually be for the day ( Well, at least that works out for me )

So , here's to life and not wasting a day away ! Let's live the moment ! ( and i don't mean to go literal and party but you know, in your own ways :) )

Coffee Cottage,

It's a cat cafe in ss15! Apparently the idea was imported by Japanese Cat Cafés.
We ordered Iced Chocolate , Latte , Chocolate Mousse Cake and Crunchy Nutella. Was pretty impressed by the Mousse Cake as it tasted quite similar to Secret Recipe's Chocolate Indulgence Cake :) Mum personally loved the Iced Chocolate though.
We were quite pumped up as my niece loved cats ! And the cats were really taken care off there in the cafe. Cleanliness was up to par, you can even say, the cats are even cleaner than some home cats (apparently, they send the cats for grooming) and yes , they are take ❤️
It was really relaxing as the seating was not crowded and the concept was definitely giving vibes of 'zen' (they even had good calm music and a small fountain)
And there's my niece trying to approach the cats :)
It's definitely a cafe to come by again but was honestly not the best place I've tasted my latte at. But the Mousse Cake is highly recommended !

On Wearing Hijab,

Its been almost a year since I started wearing hijab,
and honestly, its been going on longer than I expected, *alhamdulillah*
I guess what made it easier was changing your perspective towards it,
Initially I felt like it was a burden of clothing,
After a while, I thought that,
'Hey, I'm a Muslim. It's a Muslim clothing to wear hijab'
Easy to say, its like ,
'Humans were given the option to go naked to but hey, they wear clothes anyways !'

I loved how it changed my lifestyle, although once in awhile I do miss the old days,
But I was never really the party hard kind of girl,
I just enjoyed the company of variety :)
and doing random things once in awhile like,
Going for David Guetta's concert, or
A friend's birthday party at some random pubs.

But I never really enjoyed seeing myself doing any of those things, as I kinda see it as,
'My Body is My Temple' , and I have always loved keeping it clean :)
Thus, explains why I never tried anything beyond shisha (which i only tried couple of times) , ahaha .

Anyhow,
The best thing about hijab is, protection.
Feeling more secure when you walk around men.
Being reminded of your religion wherever you go.

But hey, even Felixia Yeap, an ex-model of the PlayBoy feels comfortable wearing hijab saying,
'I feel that I am worth more than showing off my body' ,

So this is me, pulling it off,
