Budapest : Day 3

Throughout Day 3, we just travelled around by Metro around District VI to check out the main tourist spots ; The Szechenyi Medicinal Bath, Heroes Square & House of Terror ! To conclude, we discovered the 'Pest' side of Budapest !

The Szechenyi Medicinal Bath is literally just 2 minutes walk from the Metro stop @ Szechenyi Furdo. It would cost a little to go into the biggest European Hot Baths which is about 74-77Degrees. We decided it would take some time for us to enjoy this heated pool so we just came to check the place out and decided to go to Heroes' Square (Hosok Tere) after.

You could take the metro to Hosok Tere, but it is honestly just roughly 5-10 minutes of walk from the Szechenyi Metro stop so we decided to just walk since the weather was quite lovely today anyways.

Hosok Tere is a place of the Magyar history I would say, and it would definitely be more interesting if you find out the history of the Magyars invasion in Hungary before coming here. Or maybe its just cause I am a little bit of a history geek. Anyways, it was so beautiful and it reminded me of the Greek history a little. Spent about an hour here just chilling and taking pictures, haha. Grabbed a quick italian lunch nearby and headed for one of the personally best and most intellectual part of the trip,

House of Terror ! Also known as Terror Haza. It's a museum that was filled with the history of the 2 most important occupation in Hungarian history ; the Nazi (or Arrowcross) and the Soviets. Despite if you love history or not, it is definitely one of the most recommended places to visit in Budapest. Well, basically WW1 initiated within Austria-Hungary, and Hungary is to be considered the Heart of Europe hence it is basically part of almost all important wars in history. It would also help if you know a little about the history of the occupation, so the exhibition would make more sense to you :)
No pictures here as no cameras were allowed. But just go on the metro and stop at Vorosmarty Utca and walk a couple of minutes, then you're there ! Oh, and it was for 2000 Forint for entrance fee. Do check their opening hours so you wouldn't have to rush.

It was about 6PM when we ended our exhibition, so we grabbed our dinner and we decided to stop by the famous Hungarian Parliament. We were quite lucky in time as when we arrived, it was during the replacement of the Hungarian flag, so we had the opportunity to see the guards march their way around the Parliament. As it was utterly cold with empty stomachs, we didn't stay there for long ....

So we walked around to find for food, and I tried out one of the famous Hungarian food, Paprika ! Well, there weren't many kosher food so I tried Fish Paprika which was pretty delicious ! Either it was delicious or I was just really hungry....

Anyways, budget for Day 3 was roughly 35Pounds incase you were wondering :)
